WESTERN GOVERNORS UNIVERSITY x MCK CREATIVE

Contracted by WGU university based in Salt Lake City, Utah, MCK Creative painted two floors of unique murals in the new Raleigh Team office location located at 4300 Edwards Mill Rd, Raleigh NC. We consulted with the designers and contractors working with the university to create this abstract floral design using the brands identity guide (Specific shades of blue/green). Our scope determined that we would not fill the entire wall, so you can see here how I created dynamic designs that give a full, immersive effect without covering the entirety of the wall. Before painting, I used the initial site visit to gauge how the office members would be engaging with the space and I designed the viewpoints and the design to flow naturally based on these notes. I used the same palette and flow for both floors but each flower sits independently as its own as well as together. This piece was painted free hand using Montana 94 spray paint and designed digitally using Procreate.
