OUR FOUNDER

I’m Morgan Cook, a contemporary mural artist based in Raleigh, NC and the founder of MCK Creative.

I started drawing obsessively as a kid, cartoon characters, letters, anything I could get my hands on. That curiosity evolved into painting my name on train cars, where I learned to work large, fast, and with intention. Those nights taught me how to control spray paint at scale and how to think about art in direct relationship to architecture and environment.

At the same time, I was teaching martial arts, studying the idea of self-mastery—discipline, precision, and respect for process. That framework is the foundation of how I work today. My path wasn’t linear. When my family rejected my artistic pursuits I found myself inevitably Homeless, working random jobs, sleeping in my car and finding myself and my work. Even when I lost everything, I was committed to this dream of painting and knew that if I persevered It would work out.

MCK Creative grew from that foundation. I saw cities filled with grey and beige spaces and recognized an opportunity to create work that brings immersive, memorable qualities to the built environment.

Today, I partner with developers, interior designers, brands, and placemaking teams such as Heineken, Grubb Ventures, Tesla Motors and REI to create bold, site-specific murals for commercial and public spaces. With over a decade of experience, I understand the timelines, approval process, and the realities of multi-stakeholder projects. My process is team work focused and streamlined, ideation to execution, strategically with the goals of the space.

My murals blend vibrant color systems, dynamic composition, and refined figurative detail to create moments that feel intentional and memorable. Every project is a balance of my personal creative vision and the clients goals.

If you’re looking for a muralist who understands both your vision and can deliver high quality work in unpredictable environments with a killer attitude, I’m the artist for you.
